Purpose of this Job

  • Responsible for marketing and sales strategies of low pressure and blower equipment business in Atlas Copco Korea
  • Develop and lead all types of low pressure and blower equipment business to increase brand awareness, profitability and market share so that Atlas Copco Korea reaches an ultimate market leader in Korea.
  • Business Development Manager is a role within the Compressor Technique Oil Free Air (OFA) organization, reporting to the Business Line Manager Oil Free Air.

Duties&Responsibility

  • The BDM has the mission to develop the Atlas Copco business for “Low Pressure (< 4barg) Compressors” in South-Korea and grow this area with existing and new innovative products, also known as “Market leader of Compressor”. This includes direct handling of specific application segments, key account management of the OEMs based in South-Korea, and training and supporting the district and indirect sales engineers in their sales of Low pressure compressors.
    We are focusing on fast growth in market share for Atlas Copco and you will be instrumental in achieving this.

[Strategic/tactical]

  • Mapping of the potential for the target application segments
  • Define correct market channels for the various segments: direct, direct through compressor sales engineers, specialized dealers, compressor dealers, OEM.
  • Develop our strategic approach to our Distributor network to maximize the development of sales opportunities and margins, with focus on all LP compressor products and services to ensure loyalty and long term productive relationships.
  • Increase and develop the levels of customer satisfaction through increased contact with all distributors.

[Operational]

  • Coach and motivate the respective Compressor Technique area sales engineers, providing supporting resources as required to support any targets set (these will mostly come from the division but may need adaptation to the local market).
  • Support new product introductions.
  • Deliver sales within the geographical area, in conjunction with the allocated sales routes while working to targets agreed.
  • Provide ‘Key account’ territorial management within the designated geographical territory.
  • Sharing sales leads for compressors, dryers, nitrogen, service etc. is very important as it is the ability to network within Atlas Copco and externally.
  • Update all data in the required time scales: monthly reports, distributor analysis, forecasting and generated lead information. Key working environment for this is C4C, a CRM tool.
  • Regular communicate with Product managers of LP in PCs: new product and solution, local market requirements, technical issues, sale/market updates, lead time, etc.
  • Sizing and selection of Low pressure compressors, pipework and systems

Qualifications

[Experience/Education]

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or marketing preferred
  • 5+ years of proven track record of sales & marketing in industrial(compressor) sales environment
  • Technical knowledge of compressed air system

[Knowledge/Skill]

  • People management
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment and application
  • Good command of Korean and English, both written and spoken
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint & CRM tools to solely prepare professional proposals and manage his/her sales activates
  • Good of sales presentation, planning and organizational skill
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
  • Skills for positively persuade, convince, and impress others in order to achieve results
